Yesterday I dropped a cheap DG2813 watch face down from a beds height to a ceramic floor. So last night, I accidentally dropped my navitimer (the only breitling and my most special watch). It took a fall from my desk onto the hardwood floor, and there is a nick (kinda big) on the caseback. The posts above give good advice. I believe you'll either have to replace the damaged part (through whatever means at RCS) or polish it to reduce the damaged appearance. Personally, I would just leave it alone and try to live with it. Chances are that you'll get used to it. These are supposed to be tough tool watches - if they stop working from a short drop on a wood floor - that IS a defect and should be covered under warranty. I'd take it into NYC and tell them stopped working. After bath, i was wiping my super avenger dry and it slipped out of my grip and landed on the tiled bedroom floor I inspected my watch but there doesnt seem to have any dent or anything. However i am more concerned .
Unfortunately I dropped my Chrono Colt from the top of my washing machine to the stone floor (approx. 1m) the other day. I noticed that the second hand had moved to the 6 second position. I started the chronograph, stopped it and returned it. It slipped off my hands yesterday, unfortunately! Actually it still works perfectly - keeping time well. I know that Rolex watches have shock absorber and the Exp II was designed for rugged use. I've also dropped my Omega SMP once on the hard wooden floor and it still works well. You'll want a rubber ball to take the case back off, a paperclip or similar object to eject the stem, tweezers to align the hand onto the pinion (which is the only tricky part), and either a hand press or another soft-but-firm tool to press the hand down onto the pinion.
